AlexanderPlatz in what was formerly East Berlin was constructed as a show piece by the East German Government in the early 1960's. These Soviet style apartment blocks are typical of Berlin, but with Western influences now everywhere, just like it's sister print set in the Barbican in London, the interplay between the concrete and now glass building next to it is much in play. Taken in Berlin in December 2024. I have chosen to present this print on Hahnemühle German Etching paper. At 310gms, this is a heavy, textured paper, which offers a 3 dimensional feel to my prints. I offer this print in 7 sizes, with no border. Framed prints using this paper are also available, with a black wooden frame and natural white photo matt. Or choose a modern acrylic print, using matt acrylic and a fine art pigment paper for the pinnacle of presentation.
